December 2: Introduction to the Ziggurat Model and the UCC~ This workshop will help participants "see" the ways in which the various characteristics of autism can impact the student they are working with. Participants will receive a copy of the Underlying Characteristics Checklist during the workshop. They should go back and complete the assessment with their school team for a focus student who has autism. As a team they should identify 6-7 items that are priorities for intervention. This model will also help school teams identify the strengths and skills of a student. |
