Description | | Purpose: The purpose of this two-day training is to help update and/or redevelop your school's Emergency Operations Plan. At the end of day two, your school's EOP will be near completion and upon return to your school, a final EOP may be approved by your local school board.
How: The recent analysis of school safety plans statewide indicated support was needed to ensure schools had a comprehensive, working, living document to guide schools and emergency responders before, during, and after an emergency incident or event.
Why: It is necessary for schools and emergency responders to plan together and build stronger relationships for responses to be protective of students and staff, respond efficiently, and to return the school back to a learning environment as quickly as possible.
