Description | | With the divisiveness in society today, there is no better time to help students understand the importance of Social Studies. This networking opportunity for K-12 Social Studies teachers will provide the educators with the tools to help navigate the curriculum. A specific focus will be on civic online reasoning to support teachers as they help students discern facts from false information on the Internet. A variety of tools to support students in gaining confidence in applying civil discourse to their lives will also be made available and modeled. In addition to this, resources from all six areas of the Social Sciences (Civics, Econ, Geography, History, Psychology, and Sociology) will be provided.
You will also have the opportunity to meet Ebony McKiver the new Social Studies Specialist with the Nebraska Department of Education! |
