| Description | | ESU 9’s Kristen Slechta will be facilitating our Science Cadre this year! Are you ready to take actionable STEPS toward student success in science? Let's work collaboratively, step-by-step, to elevate our assessment practices. We will first ground ourselves in Nebraska's Ethos for Science Education. We then take a step forward and analyze example tasks at your grade level. We will use a task screener to identify and evaluate the three dimensions and instructional shifts. We will practice with tools and resources for task writing. Our collective goal is to learn from one another about and elevate our capacity for both formative and summative checks for understanding, sense-making, and application. |
