6 - 12 teachers will further explore the new standards, digging deeper into the instructional components that support successful lesson design. Participants will build a solid understanding of three-dimensional teaching and learning and how to use their resources to implement 3-D into their science lessons. Workshop goals include:
Learn about the three dimensions of science that make up our new state science standards.
Learn how phenomena relate to our standards and three-dimensional learning. Work with grade level standards to identify phenomenon to engage students in a three-dimensional lesson.
Draft a lesson idea using the Gather, Reason, and Communicate strategies to align instruction to the three dimensions.
Title IIa districts $20 registration fee per person per day. Non Title IIa $40 registration fee per person per day. |
