| Description | | The day will provide 3 different strands of training and support...
1) Bus Driver training will feature a 1 hour session on "Verbal Intervention and De-escalation" as well as the annual 1 hour session with Rich Casey, Bellevue Transportation Director. The training event for Bus Drivers will begin at 9:30 a.m.; Rich will conclude by 11:30.
2) Professional Development for paraeducators will feature Amy Kroll, Weeping Water Public Schools. Amy is returning to our launch and is back by popular demand! In addition to time with Amy, para-educators will also have the opportunity to participate in an hour with Dani Niss, featuring "Systematic Supervision." Paras will be invited to network over lunch and stay for Dr. McNiff's presentation, "Routines, Reinforcement and Interventions: Focus on Behavior." The day will begin at 8:30 and will conclude at the end of Dr. McNiff's keynote.
3) Finally, a Mini-Special Education Institute, and sessions featuring classroom engagement with "Opportunities to Respond" and "Civil Discourse" will be offered for teachers, beginning at 8:30. Jen, Lori and I will be sharing our best tips and tricks in supporting students and each other. Again, an opportunity for networking will be provided over lunch, followed by Dr. McNiff's keynote, beginning at 12:30.
