DescriptionAlready established verbal behavior
Description: Students with a verbal behavior program often benefit from implementation of the programming across multiple environments and with different people. This workshop is designed for those who will be helping to run a verbal behavior program but are not responsible for the primary assessment, selection of skills to teach, or making instructional decisions based on data. In this workshop
Participants will learn important behavioral teaching principles including what is verbal behavior, discrete trial training, reinforcement, pairing, prompting and shaping
Participants will learn the verbal operants and why we teach a variety of skills
Participants will learn how to use errorless teaching techniques and error correction to help improve skill acquisition
Participants will receive hands-on instruction and practice on errorless teaching and error correction using the card sort system
Our primary focus will be for programs that use the card sort system. We can explore object sort systems as time allows
